TalkCam is an iPhone app for recording talking-head (口播) videos with a single camera and a built-in teleprompter. Record one clean take — front or back camera — while reading your scrolling script, then edit it afterward: add on-canvas text and image stickers, apply beauty effects, add a logo overlay or a watermark, and crop to 9:16, 16:9, 3:4, 4:3, or 1:1. Export a finished MP4 to Photos with all effects baked in during a single offline render pass. The free tier covers everyday recording and text stickers; TalkCam Pro unlocks image stickers, removes the watermark, and enables up to 4K export.
What it does
Open the recorder, pick the front or back camera, load a script into the teleprompter, and hit record. TalkCam captures a clean camera + microphone take — the teleprompter scroll and beauty preview are there to help you perform, but none of the effects are baked into the recording itself. When you stop, switch to the editor: place text and image stickers on the canvas, refine the beauty look, add a logo, set a watermark, and crop the frame to the aspect ratio you need. When it looks right, start an offline render and TalkCam bakes every effect into a single finished MP4 saved to Photos.

What's different
Most talking-head apps bake filters and beauty into the recording itself — change your mind and you reshoot. TalkCam records a clean, untreated camera take and applies every effect only at export time, via an offline VideoProjectRenderer pass. So you can restyle stickers, retune the beauty, and switch aspect ratios as many times as you want without losing your original take. Front-camera mirroring is a capture/preview convenience only; the export uses the stored frames as-is without re-mirroring.
Built for privacy
TalkCam is local-first: no account, no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no personal data collection. Projects, settings, scripts, and recorded media stay on your device, and exported videos are saved to your own Photos library. It supports English and Simplified Chinese and light/dark appearance.
