This Privacy Policy explains how SpeedPlayer handles user information.

1. Local-first storage

  • Imported files (video and audio), playback position, A-B loop points, mirror state, and viewport memory are stored on-device
  • Search state, favorites, and settings preferences are stored on-device
  • Subscription status is cached locally and verified through Apple's StoreKit
  • No account is required to use the core playback workflow

2. What SpeedPlayer does not collect by default

  • No account registration
  • No advertising SDKs
  • No analytics trackers in the core playback workflow
  • No automatic upload of imported local files
  • No cloud sync in Stage 1

3. StoreKit and subscriptions

  • SpeedPlayer uses Apple's StoreKit 2 to manage optional in-app subscriptions (Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime)
  • Subscription processing and billing are handled entirely by Apple
  • SpeedPlayer only stores a local cache of the subscription status
  • SpeedPlayer does not have access to your Apple ID, payment method, or full transaction history

4. Direct media links

If a user chooses to load a direct media link, SpeedPlayer may request that resource to load and play it. That request is initiated only from the http or https link the user enters.

5. Retention and deletion

  • Local playback data stays on the device until the user deletes the record, removes the local file copy, or uninstalls the app
  • Direct media link entries can be removed from the library like any other record

6. Children and family use

  • SpeedPlayer can be used by families for local replay and practice workflows
  • For younger users, we recommend parent, teacher, or coach guidance
  • SpeedPlayer does not require account registration, does not include advertising SDKs, and does not upload local files automatically
  • Optional Parental Controls can be enabled inside Settings
  • When Parental Controls is enabled, SpeedPlayer shows a simple math parent check before opening the Membership / purchase screen, the direct media link import flow, external legal or support links, or before turning Parental Controls back off
  • This check is a lightweight parent gate and is not identity verification
