This Privacy Policy explains how PresentCast handles user information.
1. Local-first presentation data
PresentCast stores your work locally on your device, including:
- Language, appearance, and presentation preferences
- Imported files (PDFs, photos, and videos) and generated render cache
- Slideshow position, the last-used AirPlay display, and Demo Display session state
- Favorites and recent-files history
PresentCast does not require an account. Page rendering, image decoding, and file import all happen on-device and work offline. Files stay on your device. During an active casting session, Apple's system AirPlay path delivers only the selected presentation media needed for playback to the receiver you choose; PresentCast does not run its own LAN media server.
2. No tracking or advertising
PresentCast does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics trackers, or cross-app tracking. PresentCast does not sell or share personal data with third parties. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
3. StoreKit and purchases
- PresentCast uses Apple StoreKit for optional in-app purchases: a Monthly ($2.99) or Yearly ($19.99) auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time Lifetime ($39.99) purchase
- Billing, refunds, cancellation, and purchase history are handled by Apple
- PresentCast stores a local entitlement cache on the device so it can show membership status quickly and restore access after launch
- PresentCast reads only the entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features; it does not have access to your Apple ID password, payment method, or full Apple transaction history
4. Device permissions and local network
PresentCast uses the following permissions, each for a specific on-device purpose:
- Local Network — used for nearby AirPlay receivers (TVs, projectors, Apple TV) on your Wi-Fi. PresentCast uses Apple's system AirPlay path for the selected presentation media needed in the active session; it does not run a LAN media server or collect an inventory of devices on your network.
- Photos / Files import — used to import PDFs, photos, and videos you choose from the system Photos or Files pickers. PresentCast reads only the items you explicitly select and never browses or uploads your full library.
PresentCast does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, health, Bluetooth, full photo-library read, or background-tracking permissions. There is no IDFA and no tracking.
5. Data deletion
You can remove local PresentCast data by deleting the app from your device. Apple platform behavior may retain purchase records for your Apple ID so purchases can be restored.
6. Children's privacy
PresentCast is a general-purpose presentation tool and is not directed at children. The app does not require an account and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It includes no chat, no public posting, no user-generated content sharing, no advertising, and no tracking.
