This Privacy Policy explains how PresentCast handles user information.
1. Local-first presentation data
PresentCast stores your work locally on your device, including:
- Language, appearance, and presentation preferences
- Imported files (PDFs, photos, and videos) and generated render cache
- Playlists (run sheets), their order, and playback position
- The last-used display and Demo Display session state
- Favorites and recent-files history
PresentCast does not require an account. Page rendering, image decoding, and file import all happen on-device and work offline. Files stay on your device and are not uploaded to ZelonAI servers. During an active casting session, only the selected presentation media needed for playback is delivered to the receiver you choose — over Apple's system AirPlay path for AirPlay receivers, or, when you cast to a DLNA receiver, through a temporary session endpoint on your local network that exists only while that session is active.
2. No tracking or advertising
PresentCast does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics trackers, or cross-app tracking. PresentCast does not sell or share personal data with third parties. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
3. StoreKit and purchases
- PresentCast uses Apple StoreKit for optional in-app purchases: a Monthly ($2.99) or Yearly ($19.99) auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time Lifetime ($39.99) purchase
- Billing, refunds, cancellation, and purchase history are handled by Apple
- PresentCast stores a local entitlement cache on the device so it can show membership status quickly and restore access after launch
- PresentCast reads only the entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features; it does not have access to your Apple ID password, payment method, or full Apple transaction history
4. Device permissions and local network
PresentCast uses the following permissions, each for a specific on-device purpose:
- Local Network — used to discover and cast to nearby receivers on your Wi-Fi: Apple TV and compatible AirPlay TVs or projectors, plus compatible DLNA/UPnP smart TVs and set-top boxes. Discovering DLNA receivers uses standard SSDP/UPnP device-discovery messages on the local network. During an active AirPlay session, Apple's system AirPlay path delivers the selected media. During an active DLNA session, the selected presentation media is made available temporarily through a session-scoped local network endpoint to the receiver you chose, and only for that session. PresentCast does not collect an inventory of devices on your network and does not send your files to any cloud server.
- Photos / Files import — importing uses the system Photos and Files pickers, which run out of process. PresentCast reads only the items you explicitly select and never browses or uploads your full library; because the pickers handle the selection, the app does not request photo-library access permission.
PresentCast does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, health, Bluetooth, full photo-library read, or background-tracking permissions. There is no IDFA and no tracking.
5. Data deletion
You can remove local PresentCast data by deleting the app from your device. Apple platform behavior may retain purchase records for your Apple ID so purchases can be restored.
6. Children's privacy
PresentCast is a general-purpose presentation tool and is not directed at children. The app does not require an account and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It includes no chat, no public posting, no user-generated content sharing, no advertising, and no tracking.
