When iCloud sync is enabled in your Apple environment, MoodTide may synchronize app data through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
2. How We Use Data
We use data only to provide app functionality, including:
- Saving and displaying your journal content
- Rendering widgets and calendar views
- Synchronizing data across your Apple devices (when iCloud sync is enabled)
- Providing user-requested support
3. Storage and Security
3.1 Local-first Architecture
- MoodTide stores your data locally on your device by default.
- Core journaling features work without creating a separate MoodTide account.
3.2 iCloud Sync
- Sync uses Apple's iCloud / CloudKit services.
- Data transfer and storage in iCloud follow Apple's security model.
- We do not have direct access to your Apple ID credentials.
3.3 Security
- Device-level protections (passcode/Face ID/Touch ID) help secure your local data.
- We recommend keeping your iOS system updated.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
MoodTide does not use third-party ad SDKs for cross-app tracking.
Data may be processed by Apple services only when required for iCloud sync, App Store billing, or system-level functionality.
5. Your Controls
You can:
- Edit or delete your records in the app
- Disable iCloud sync from Apple settings
- Remove app data by uninstalling the app
6. Children's Privacy
MoodTide is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
