This Privacy Policy explains how MathBoard handles user information.
1. Local-first practice data
MathBoard stores practice data locally on your device, including:
- Language, appearance, and practice preferences
- Generated worksheets and practice attempts
- Wrong answers and worked explanations
- PencilKit whiteboard drafts for each problem
MathBoard does not require an account. All worksheet generation, grading, and review happens on-device and works offline.
2. No tracking or advertising
MathBoard does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics trackers, or cross-app tracking. MathBoard does not sell or share personal data with third parties.
3. StoreKit and purchases
- MathBoard uses Apple StoreKit for optional in-app purchases: a Monthly or Yearly auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase
- Billing, refunds, cancellation, and purchase history are handled by Apple
- MathBoard stores a local entitlement cache on the device so it can show membership status quickly and restore access after launch
- MathBoard reads only the entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features; it does not have access to your Apple ID password, payment method, or full Apple transaction history
4. Device permissions
MathBoard uses the following device permissions, each for a specific on-device purpose:
- Drawing / PencilKit — used for the per-problem whiteboard draft area where children write their working with Apple Pencil or a finger. All drawing is rendered and stored locally and is not uploaded or transmitted.
- Print / PDF export — used to render student, answer, or wrong-answer explanation PDFs that you choose to share or print. Export is rendered locally on the device.
MathBoard does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, photo-library, health, or Bluetooth permissions.
5. Data deletion
You can remove local MathBoard data by deleting the app from your device. Apple platform behavior may retain purchase records for your Apple ID so purchases can be restored.
6. Children's privacy
MathBoard is suitable for children to use with a parent or guardian. The app does not require children to create an account and does not collect children's personal information. It includes no chat, no public posting, no user-generated content sharing, no advertising, and no tracking. Parents can use Apple Screen Time, purchase restrictions (Ask to Buy), and App Store family controls to manage access and purchases.
