This page explains how FractionSolver is positioned for child and family use in the current release.
1. Intended use
- FractionSolver is a fraction calculator that shows full step-by-step working, used for math learning, homework help, and review
- It can be used by students (including children) with guidance from a parent, guardian, or teacher
- It can also be used by older students, parents checking homework, and teachers demonstrating methods
2. Product choices relevant to families
- Core calculation works without account registration
- The app has no public posting, public chat, or user-generated content sharing
- All calculation happens locally on the device after the app is installed
3. Parental controls
- FractionSolver does not require an account and has no social features
- The current app does not include an in-app parental-control gate; instead, families can use Apple's built-in controls:
- Screen Time app limits and content restrictions
- Ask to Buy for App Store purchases
- App Store family-sharing controls
- These Apple controls manage purchases and access; FractionSolver itself does not collect data from children
4. Network and external links
- Core calculation, steps, and history are local-first and work offline
- Network use mainly happens when Apple services are needed for product loading, purchase, restore, or purchase management

5. Purchases
- FractionSolver may offer optional Premium purchases processed by Apple through StoreKit: a Monthly or Yearly auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase
- Premium includes camera equation scanning (on-device, no upload), solution history, and image export
- Billing, refunds, and purchase management are handled by Apple
- The app only reads whether Premium is active; it does not receive payment details
6. Data and privacy
- FractionSolver collects no personal data, includes no advertising or analytics SDKs, and performs no tracking
- Preferences and recent solution history are stored only on the device
