You decide. LetCompress exposes quality as an explicit control with a live size preview, and lossless options remain available for formats that support them — the tool never silently degrades a file.

The practical limit is your device's memory, not a server quota — there is no upload pipeline metering you. Batch several files at once and download them together.

Local processing is faster (no round trip), private by default (nothing to leak), and works offline. For contracts, ID scans, or family photos, "the file never left my computer" is the simplest privacy policy there is.
