This Privacy Policy explains how PresentCam handles user information. The developer does not collect personal data from PresentCam.
1. Local-first recording data
PresentCam stores your work locally on your device, including:
- Language, appearance, and recording preferences
- Projects, user-selected source material (PDF pages and images), and scripts
- Recorded camera clips and audio takes
- Annotations (pen, highlighter, laser strokes)
- Teleprompter text and settings
PresentCam does not require an account. The media workflow—importing selected material, recording, annotation, preview compositing, and final export—happens on-device. PresentCam does not upload your source files, recordings, annotations, scripts, or exported videos to a developer-operated server. Exported videos are written only to destinations you choose, such as your Photos library.
2. No tracking or advertising
PresentCam does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics trackers, or cross-app tracking. PresentCam does not sell or share personal data with third parties.
3. StoreKit and purchases
- PresentCam uses Apple StoreKit for optional in-app purchases: a Monthly or Yearly auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase
- Billing, refunds, cancellation, and purchase history are handled by Apple
- PresentCam stores a local entitlement cache on the device so it can show membership status quickly and restore access after launch
- PresentCam reads only the entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features; it does not have access to your Apple ID password, payment method, or full Apple transaction history
StoreKit may connect to Apple to load products, complete purchases, or restore entitlements. Those transactions are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms; PresentCam does not operate a separate purchase server.
4. Device permissions
PresentCam uses the following device permissions, each for a specific on-device purpose:
- Camera — used to record the presenter (you) as a floating bubble over the slides. Camera frames are processed and recorded locally and are not uploaded or transmitted.
- Microphone — used to record your narration alongside the camera. Audio is captured and encoded locally.
- Photos (Add Only) — used to save your finished, composited MP4 exports to your Photo Library. PresentCam only writes files; it does not read or browse your existing photos.
PDF and image import is user-initiated through Apple’s Files and system photo pickers. PresentCam receives only the items you select and stores the project copies locally; it does not browse your Files or request full Photo Library access.
PresentCam does not request location, contacts, health, Bluetooth, full photo-library read, or background-tracking permissions.
5. Data deletion
You can remove local PresentCam project data by deleting the app from your device. Videos you previously exported to Photos or another destination are separate copies and remain there until you delete them. Apple may retain purchase records associated with your Apple ID so purchases can be restored.
6. Children's privacy
PresentCam is a general-purpose creator tool and is not directed at children. The app does not require an account and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It includes no chat, no public posting, no user-generated content sharing, no advertising, and no tracking.
