-
01
Load practice material
Import lesson videos or audio; playback is local and format-agnostic.
-
02
Mark an A-B loop
Ring the toughest bars, loop them, and drop to 0.08x to follow along slowly.
-
03
Climb back to full speed
Step back up to 1x as it settles. Per-video memory keeps your progress for tomorrow.
Trust & Privacy
No. 03Practice material stays local.

Practice is the art of repetition. SpeedPlayer makes repetition precise — 0.01x stepping, looping, per-video memory — while keeping data on device. You just focus on the passage at hand.

Last Updated: 2026-04-23
SpeedPlayer is a practice-first media player built for users who want to study their own video and audio footage with precise speed control instead of managing a giant media library.
Core direction
- Load video or audio from Photos, Files, a direct media link, or open from other apps
- Dual playback modes: continuous mode (0.25x–4.00x, audio preserved) and precision review mode (0.01x–0.24x, ultra-slow, audio muted)
- Keep A-B loop, mirror, viewport, and playback memory per video
- Audio-only files show a dedicated vinyl record visualizer with rotation speed matching playback rate
Stage 1 product boundary
- SpeedPlayer is not a NAS browser, export studio, or AI coach in Stage 1
- SpeedPlayer is not a general web browser and does not provide a public content feed or searchable catalog
- The product focuses on importing quickly, resuming quickly, and refining one clip repeatedly
- Local files and playback state stay on-device by default
Supported media
Video formats
SpeedPlayer supports the following video formats: MP4, MOV, MKV, M4V, and HLS streams.
Audio formats
SpeedPlayer also supports audio-only files: MP3, AAC, M4A, FLAC, WAV, and AIFF. Audio files are automatically detected and played with a dedicated audio visualizer.
Format validation
SpeedPlayer uses the system media framework to validate files. If a file is not in a compatible format, SpeedPlayer will not import it.
Docs & Support
No. 6Plain-language documents. No fine print you would be surprised by.
Frequently Asked Questions
Some skills live below normal hearing speed: a fast lick on guitar, a dance transition, a bird's call. Precision mode (0.01x–0.24x) slows audio and video down to a crawl without changing pitch, so your ear can follow what full speed blurs past.
Continuous mode sweeps 0.25x–4.00x for normal fast/slow viewing. Precision mode steps 0.01x–0.24x for dissecting a single passage. Together they cover the full 0.01x–4.00x range, and you can pair either with A-B loops on the hard bar.
Yes — per-video state memory keeps speed, position, loop marks, and view settings for every file. Reopen a practice clip tomorrow and it resumes exactly as you left it, mirror and zoom included.
Common video and audio containers both: MP4, MOV, MKV for video; MP3, FLAC, WAV and more for audio. Language drilling and music practice work the same — the player does not care whether your practice material has a picture.
Yes — local-first by design. Your files and your practice history never leave the phone; there is no account and nothing to upload.
